Cavalerius D=59 km Center: 5.1°N, 293°E Floor Area = 492 km^2 Observed Density (@ 1km): 3000 ± 2500 Simone's Age: 2.1 ± 0.3 Stoffler epoch: Eratosthenian Fit Density (@ 1km): 2700 ± 400 PF fit: OK - limited data, small number statistics, large error Age Calculation Notes: OK fit, but few data points and errors are large. Used Melosh gravity. USGS geology: Eratosthenian Wilhelms: Eratosthenian Floor material: Deep crater, but small, eroded peak. Mostly smooth - a few small hummocks. Ejecta on top of mare. Likely original. Geology Observations: Ejecta blanket somewhat visible, especially on mare. Rim still sharp. Small central peak - more like a cluster, and it appears eroded. No evident collapses. One 500 m secondary identified - part of cluster(?). Formed at boundary of Oriental ejecta and mare. Surrounded by filled craters. SFD Observations: Dominated classes 2 and 4. Kind of flat distribution. Slope(Diff)=-1.3 ± 0.9 Also examined by Baldwin (1985) Baldwin: density = 5700 ± 580, age = 3.4 ± 0.2 Ga (area = 790 km^2, likely ejecta) Last Edited by MRK 1/9/2014
